NORTH BAY — In a tragic turn of events, a North Bay woman has lost her entire family in a city street puddle.
North Bay Police Services confirm that at approximately 6:30 pm Sunday night, Marla Larson was walking with her husband Anthony, daughter Paisley, and son Marty when all but Marla fell into a puddle on Oak St. and disappeared.
“It’s awful” says Constable Edward Ott. “But sadly, not unheard of. Last year we lost an entire school bus on Labreche Dr.”
Marla Larson wants to warn others not to make the same mistake.
“If it’s raining in the winter, for the love of all that is holy, stay home” says Larson. “We just wanted to get out on a Sunday and stretch our legs. And now… and now…”
“The tragic thing is that it’s happened again,” sobs Marla. “Ten years ago I lost my first family in the puddle outside the North Bay Mall.”
This city needs to get the city workers out cleaning this crap up I didn’t see any of them out today and alot of roads could have been cleared of water I guess we dont pay enough taxes to have these ppl out and Trying to save money on the budget now we see what happens when we try to save a nickel we lose a family shame on you north bay shame on you
