NORTH BAY — Alistair Studwick wants to know if you like hotdogs and chocolate.
Alistair is the owner and operator of North Bay’s newest food truck – “Hotdog Chocolate.”
“I try hard to live a Zero Waste life,” explains Alistair, “and I also really love hotdogs and chocolate. So I thought – ‘why not combine them?’”
Hotdog Chocolate offers many tasty treats, but its flagship offering is a “steaming cup of hot chocolate made with recycled hotdog water.”
A cup of “Hotdoglate,” the hot chocolate percolated in thickly steeped hotdog water, is $4.00.
Each cup comes with an After Eight stick to “bring out the beverage’s unique hotdog aftertaste.”
“It takes five minutes to fully steep and prepare each cup to get all the good hotdog flavour in, but I feel it’s worth it.”
Grand Opening
The Hotdog Chocolate truck is set to open September 19th, which Alistair says is great timing.
“With colder weather people will be looking for comfort foods. What says warm comfort better a steaming cup of Hotdoglate?”
Hotdog Chocolate will be at the corner of 6th and Cassells.
“There’s this big crazy looking house there and everyone I’ve talked to says that my food truck will fit in great there.”
